Asia is probably the biggest centre for development in the technological department. While there are innovations being made in every field all over the world, Asia seems to be leading the charge when it comes to digital technology.
With superior business like Gojek already hitting the market in a big way, the Asians are embracing the on demand application business in style. PATHAO is Bangladesh’s very own on demand taxi and delivery application.
What does PATHAO offer?
Pathao is a service based on demand application. It has 5 major service offerings:
Reviewing the app
Look and Feel
The app has a very classy design. It is clean and has an almost intuitive flow. The terminology used in the app from time to time may get a little confusing, but the upside is it is available in the local language of Bengali, so that non English speaking local people too can use it efficiently. The app flows beautifully from one screen to the other. The colors are a bright red and white which doesn’t seem tacky or disturbing anywhere. Their website has the same look and feel which ties in beautifully with the rest of the app. Their cute logo feels right at home with the theme of the company. In fact, their webpage has a small image of 2 bikers waving the Bangladesh Flag.
The Asian market is definitely more dependent on two wheelers than on cars. This is why having an app that allows individual bikers to offer their service through the application is a very big deal. It not only creates multiple avenues for people without any qualification to make money, it also ensures that people can reach out and access such services whenever they need to. It isn’t a very crowded app like Gojek, but has all the relevant jobs such as delivery, taxi, motorbike, parcel and food delivery. Each one of these services is an essential in today’s times. Everyone needs transportation. Some need it by cabs, others are happy to let their hair in the wind riding a motorbike. Deliveries are a requirement for almost all businesses these days and parcels (ranging from documents to Tiffin boxes) need to be sent across too. So, on the whole of review, this is a pretty relevant app.
Everything about this app screams user friendliness. Whether it is the driver side of the application or rider side of the application it has been so made that whoever is using it can effectively use it with minimum efforts. This means that the site operates with a least number of taps. One doesn’t have to keep on making selections after another in order to use this app. it is simple, quick, efficient and therefore, effective.
The only downside that we have come across is the fact that the app does not offer any specialized training to its drivers. There have been instances reported of rash driving which ultimately resulted in accidents. Although PATHAO doesn’t play a direct role in this as an app, but it would be nice if the app could undertake some measures that could ensure Rider safety.
On the whole, it is a great app that is all set to create some very big ripples and very big rivals in the near future.
